Every open perp position in our Hyperliquid node's latest state snapshot. The node writes one about every 12 minutes.
Liquidation prices follow Hyperliquid's maintenance margin rules. For a cross-margin account, the price assumes its other positions stay at their current mark.
Portfolio-margin accounts use Hyperliquid's own liquidation price. On xyz:SP500-PERP they hold 8.8% of open notional.
Notional is size times liquidation price. 96.6% of open xyz:SP500-PERP notional has a liquidation price; the rest is fully backed or hedged.
In a real move, correlated markets fall together, so cross-margin accounts get liquidated earlier than shown here. Large positions are also liquidated in parts.
One API call returns this map for any Hyperliquid perp, with every price range and the running totals. Without a key you get the 10 largest ranges within 10% of the price. A free key returns all of them.
Where open perp positions on Hyperliquid would be liquidated if the price moved, by price: shorts above the current price, longs below, and the running total from the price to each level. It covers every perp with open positions, HIP-3 markets included.
From every open position in our Hyperliquid node's state snapshot. Each liquidation price follows Hyperliquid's maintenance margin rules; portfolio-margin accounts use Hyperliquid's own liquidation price. Every cycle a sample of positions is checked against the liquidation price Hyperliquid reports, and 99.4% are within 0.1%.
The node writes a state snapshot every 10,000 blocks, about every 12 minutes, and the positions are rebuilt from each one. Liquidation prices are re-priced with fresh mark prices every 60 seconds. The line above the chart shows the snapshot's block and age.
Can I get the map by API, MCP or as an embed?
Yes. GET https://api.ironflow.sh/v1/liquidations/map?market=BTC-PERP returns it for any perp. Without a key you get the 10 largest levels within 10% of the price; a free key returns every level out to 50%. AI agents read it with the get_liquidation_map tool on mcp.ironflow.sh/mcp. To show it on your site, put https://ironflow.sh/embed/liquidations/map?market=BTC in an iframe.
Each row is a 40 USD price range, out to 20% each side of the price. The right column adds up everything liquidated between the price now and that row.
What is the difference between the liquidation map and the heatmap?
The map is projected from open positions: where liquidations would happen next. The heatmap shows liquidations that already happened, grouped by price, over the last 24 hours, 7 or 30 days.
