What does the Hyperliquid liquidation heatmap show?
Liquidations that already happened on one Hyperliquid perp, grouped by price, over the last 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days, with the current price marked. Longs and shorts are shown apart, with the notional and the number of fills in each price range.
How is the heatmap computed?
From the liquidation fills our Hyperliquid nodes record: every fill Hyperliquid itself marks as a liquidation, on every perp, HIP-3 markets included. Their notional is summed into price ranges of about 0.25% of the price. Nothing is predicted or modelled.
How often does the heatmap update?
The 24-hour view refreshes every minute, the 7-day view every 5 minutes and the 30-day view every 15 minutes. A liquidation reaches the API a few seconds after it happens.
Can I get these liquidation levels by API or MCP?
Yes. GET https://api.ironflow.sh/v1/analytics/liquidation-levels?market=BTC-PERP&from=-7d&bucket_size=auto returns the price ranges for any perp. Without a key you get the 10 busiest levels of the last 24 hours; a free key returns every level and 30 days. AI agents use the get_liquidation_levels tool on mcp.ironflow.sh/mcp.
